Naomi is such an amazing wrestler and athlete, who’s been with WWE for a decade. In that time, she’s made a great name for herself in the company, she’s tagged with many people in WWE and is a two-time SmackDown Women’s Champion. At the moment she is not being used on-screen, hopefully, she’s going to be back soon.
Naomi signed with WWE’s developmental brand – Florida Championship Wrestling August ’09, June the following year, Naomi became the inaugural FCW Divas Champion beating Serena Deeb. It was announced on an episode of NXT that Naomi would be taking part in the all-female third season with Kelly Kelly as her pro. Naomi’s debut was against Maxine with her pro Alicia Fox, in which she successfully pinned Maxine. Naomi didn’t win NXT and she lost the FCW Championship to AJ Lee.
In 2012, she made her main roster debut with Cameron as valets for Brodus Clay, they were dubbed The Funkadactyls and they came out as cheerleaders for Brodus. Even though she was a valet, Naomi still wrestled, she won a Battle Royal on the TLC pre-show for a chance to win the Divas Championship against Eve, unfortunately, she lost. March ’13, The Funkadactyls were attacked backstage by The Bella Twins to which started a feud between both teams. September of that year, Naomi took part in a Fatal-Four-way for Divas Championship against AJ Lee, Natalya and Brie Bella. AJ ultimately retained.
Naomi’s team, consisting of the Total Divas cast won at Survivor Series and at TLC, her and Cameron split from Brodus Clay. January 2014, Naomi began to receive a push against Divas Champion – AJ Lee, unfortunately, due to a legitimate orbital injury her push ended. At WrestleMania, she partook in a Divas Invitational Battle Royal for the Divas Championship and once again AJ Lee retained. After WrestleMania, Naomi qualified for another Divas Championship attempt, this time against Paige at Money In The Bank. However once again, she didn’t win.
Naomi and Cameron lost to Page and AJ Lee in a tag match, the pair brawled after the match thus ending The Funkadactyls. Naomi and Cameron constantly impeded each other’s matches until they faced at Battleground and Cameron won. After taking some time off due to surgery on her orbital bone, Naomi returned and had successful defeats against Cameron, once again her team one at Survivor Series. Naomi started working together with The Usos (Jimmy Uso being her real-life husband) against The Miz, Miz was rather flirtatious with Naomi much to Jimmy Uso’s chagrin. The bitterness of Jimmy Uso at The Miz cost Naomi a Divas Championship match win against Nikki Bella as Miz was ringside. The Usos defeated Miz and his partner Mizdow for the Tag Team Titles, Alicia Fox joined Miz and Midow and the trios began further feuding.
The Usos dropped the Tag Titles to Cesaro and Tyson Kidd who were joined by Natalya. Naomi was defeated by Natalya in a singles match and The Usos (with Naomi) lost at WrestleMania. Twice, Naomi pinned Nikki and earned a place in a Battle Royal for the Divas Championship, she was eliminated by Paige and once the match was complete, Naomi attacked Paige turning her heel. Naomi replaced an injured Paige for a shot at the Divas Championship at Extreme Rules, Naomi lost due to interference from Brie Bella. Naomi then teamed with a returning Tamina Snuka and the duo defeated The Bella Twins at Payback. After two more unsuccessful title chances, Naomi and Tamina were joined by a debuting Sasha Banks to form Team B.A.D. as part of the Divas Revolution.
Team B.A.D fought with Team PCB and Team Bella for a period of 2015. Team B.A.D stuck together for most of the year until Sasha Banks announced she was leaving the team, Naomi and Tamina attacked Sasha as a result of this. The animosity continued through February resulting in a tag match at Fastlane against Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch, which they lost. At WrestleMania 32, Naomi teamed with; Tamina, Emma, Summer Rae and Lana in a losing effort to Team Total Divas. Naomi became inactive with a torn ankle ligament.
Whilst being off due to injury and filming The Marine 5, Naomi was drafted to SmackDown during the Brand Split. She returned to SmackDown with a fresh look and entrance, which glowed in the dark. Naomi teamed up with Carmella and Becky Lynch at SummerSlam to take on Natalya, Alexa Bliss and a returning Nikki Bella but they lost, she also lost a chance to be the inaugural SmackDown Women’s Champion. After losing at Survivor Series, Naomi had two months off due to injury, after defeating Alexa Bliss twice in tag team action, she then defeated her to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship for the first time at Elimination Chamber.
The Tuesday after her win, Naomi had to relinquish the SmackDown Women’s Championship due to injury, she returned and reclaimed the SmackDown Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 33. Naomi had a successful title defence against Alexa Bliss which then ended their feud. Naomi lost to Charlotte in a non-title match, which gave Charlotte the opportunity to fight her for the SmackDown Women’s Championship, their match in a no-contest due to outside interference from Natalya, Carmella and Tamina. At Backlash, Naomi teamed with Charlotte and Becky Lynch to a losing effort against Natalya, Carmella and Tamina. Naomi had three successive title defences against Lana including one at Money In The Bank, Naomi debuted a Glow Championship to go with her character. At SummerSlam, Naomi lost the SmackDown Women’s Championship to Natalya.
Naomi took part in the first-ever Women’s Royal Rumble in ’18 and won the first-ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal at WrestleMania 34. Naomi also took part in her first Money In The Bank ladder match which she lost, she then began to tag with Asuka after MITB. Asuk and Naomi lost to The IIconics at Super-Showdown, and Naomi’s team also lost at Survivor Series. Naomi began to feud with Mandy Rose as Mandy started to flirt with Naomi’s husband – Jimmy Uso. The reason for the feud was said to be the way Naomi treated Mandy in Tough Enough. Naomi had losing efforts to Mandy and Sonya Deville, their feud continued over to Royal Rumble in 2019. Naomi joined forces with Carmella to take on Sonya and Mandy, the pair were entered into an Elimination Chamber match for the brand new Women’s Tag Team Titles which they didn’t win.
After WrestleMania 35, Naomi was moved to RAW in the Superstar Shakeup. On RAW, Naomi had various wins and was once again announced for the Money In The Bank ladder match which she lost.
Since then, Naomi hasn’t appeared onscreen. I truly hope she’s comes back soon and becomes Champion once more.
