Since 1963, WWE has had 142 Champions under the WWF/E Championship, the Divas Championship, the RAW and SmackDown Championship, the NXT and NXT UK Championship and the WWE Tag Championship. This post will include each Champion once (with how many times they’ve won it).

WWF Women’s Championship

The Fabulous Moolah (4 times)


WWE recognises The Fabulous Moolah’s reign uninterrupted from 1956 to 1984. Moolah sold the rights to rights of the Championship to WWF where it then became the WWF Woman’s Championship.

Wendi Richter (2 times)


Wendi defeated The Fabulous Moolah at The Brawl To End It All – July 23rd 1984

Leilani Kai


Leilani Kai defeated Wendi Richter at The War To Settle The Score – February 18th 1985 (WWE aired it on tape delay March 5th)

Velvet McIntyre


Velvet McIntyre defeated The Spider Lady (aka The Fabulous Moolah) at a live event in Australia – July 3rd 1986 (there is no picture of her with the Championship due to the fact she only held it for 6 days)

Sensational Sherri


Sensational Sherri defeated The Fabulous Moolah at a live event – July 24th 1997

Rockin Robin


Rockin Robin defeated Sensational Sherri at Prime Time Wrestling – October 7th 1988

The Championship was then deactivated

Alundra Blayze (3 times)


Alundra Blayze defeated Heidi Lee to win the vacated Championship at All American Wrestling – December 13th 1993

Bull Nakano


Bull Nakano defeated Alundra Blayze at Big Egg Wrestling Universe – November 20th 1994

Bertha Faye


Bertha Faye defeated Alundra Blayze at SummerSlam – April 27th 1995

The Championship was deactivated once again when Alundra Blayze dumped the WWF Women’s Championship in a bin live on WCW.

Jacqueline defeated Sable to win the vacated Championship at RAW is War – September 15th 1998

Debra defeated Sable at RAW Is War – May 10th 1999

Ivory defeated Debra at RAW Is War – June 8th 1999

The Kat defeated Ivory at Armageddon – December 12th 1999

Stephanie McMahon


Stephanie McMahon defeated Jacqueline at SmackDown – March 28th 2000

Lita (4 times)


Lita defeated Stephanie McMahon at RAW Is War – August 21st 2000

Chyna


Chyna defeated Ivory at WrestleMania X7 – April 1st 2001

The Championship was vacated when Chyna departed the company

Trish Stratus (7 times)


Trish Stratus defeated Ivory, Jacqueline, Jazz, Lita and Molly Holly at Survivor Series – November 18th 2001

Jazz defeated Trish Stratus at RAW – February 4th 2002

The very first brand split happened around this time and the women’s Championship was not one brand exclusive, it was also this time it became known as the WWE Women’s Championship.

Mickie James defeated Trish Stratus at WrestleMania 22 – April 2nd 2006

The women’s Championship was vacated after Trish Stratus retired, Lita won it again.

During Layla’s reign, Michelle McCool was unofficially co-champion with her. The WWE women’s Championship also became the Divas Championship after both Championships were unified.
